CARAMEL CHOCOLATE BARS 
1 box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted butter
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk (reserve 1/3 cup milk)
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 pkg. caramels (14 oz.)

Mix the chocolate cake mix with the butter, nuts and evaporated milk (except for the reserved amount). Put in 9 x 13 pan and bake for 6 minutes at 350 degrees.

Melt caramels in double boiler or microwave with the 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Put 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top of cake, then drizzle melted caramels on. Bake 20 minutes more at 350 degrees.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
