CARAMEL CHOCOLATE BARS | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. melted butter 1/3 c. chopped nuts 1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk (reserve 1/3 cup milk) 1/2 c. chocolate chips 1 pkg. caramels (14 oz.) Mix the chocolate cake mix with the butter, nuts and evaporated milk (except for the reserved amount). Put in 9 x 13 pan and bake for 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels in double boiler or microwave with the 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Put 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top of cake, then drizzle melted caramels on. Bake 20 minutes more at 350 degrees. |
