APPLESAUCE CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 c. canned applesauce
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 12 medium muffin cups with paper baking cups or grease and flour 2 loaf pans. Measure all ingredients into large mixer bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed scraping bowl constantly. Beat 3 minutes on high speed scraping bowl occasionally fill pans. Bake cupcakes 25 to 30 minutes, loaf pans 50 to 55 minutes. Cool.
