PAP'S CORNBREAD 
2 c. Martha white self-rising meal
2 heaping tbsp. self-rising flour
2 c. buttermilk
Pinch of baking soda
3 tbsp. butter
1 heaping tbsp. shortening

Mix meal, flour and soda in bowl; set aside. Melt shortening and butter and add to meal mixture. Stir in buttermilk. Pour into a well greased iron skillet. Bake at 425 degrees until done.
