LENTIL CURRY 
1 c. lentils
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 whole red pepper
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
1/4 c. oil

In a pan, cook lentils with water over medium heat for 20-25 minutes. Add salt and red pepper and cook for another 10 minutes. Add lemon juice and turn off heat.

In a fry pan, heat oil over high heat. Add cumin seeds and whole red pepper. When the seeds turn black from brown turn off heat. Cool it for a minute. Add this oil to the cooked lentils. It will sizzle a lot. Quickly cover it with a lid. Serve with hot steamed rice.
