KARTOFFELPUFFER 
1 lb. grated potatoes
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp. bread crumbs
1 tbsp. flaked oats
1/2 tbsp. flour
1 pinch of salt
1 egg

Mix all ingredients together; fry spoonsize balls in hot oil until golden. Serve with apple sauce or jam and sugar.
