1 pkg. Pepperidge Farms puff pastry sheets, thawed 1/2 lb. turkey breast, thinly sliced 1/2 lb. baked ham, thinly sliced 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, thinly sliced 1/2 lb. Provolone cheese, thinly sliced 1 egg beaten well with 1 tbsp. water (egg wash) Have meats and cheeses thinly sliced from the deli. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out one pastry sheet on floured surface to about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness. (Keep other sheet wrapped well until ready to use). Cut into 6 oblong or 8 square pieces. Place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Layer turkey, Swiss cheese, ham and Provolone cheese on each piece of pastry, leaving about 1/2 inch edges all around. Brush edges with egg wash. Roll out remaining pastry sheet to 1/8 inch, cut same number of pieces. Place one on top of each meat and cheese layered piece. Seal edges with tines of fork. Make several air holes in top of each pastry with fork. Brush pastries completely with egg wash, trying not to cover air holes. bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees, reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with tangy mustard sauce or prepared horseradish sauce. |
