1/2 c. butter 1/3 c. shortening 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 3 c. Rice Krispies 3/4 c. chocolate chips Heat oven to 375 degrees (sometimes 350 degrees). Grease cookie sheets. In large bowl cream butter, shortening and sugars. Add eggs and beat until blended. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. Add flour, baking powder, soda, salt and vanilla to cream mixture; stir until well blended. Stir in Rice Krispies and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let stand 1 minute before removing from sheet. Makes approximately 5 dozen. |
