TRIPLE THREAT COOKIES | |
4 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. butter 2 c. granulated sugar, divided 1 tsp. baking powder 1 egg, beaten 1/3 c. cold water or orange juice 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon In a large bowl, combine flour, butter, 1 cup sugar and baking powder. Rub together until mixture is consistency of cornmeal. Add egg and water. Knead until dough is satiny. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Combine remaining 1 cup sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough. Cut dough into squares. Transfer squares to lightly greased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool on racks. Store in airtight container. Makes about 6 dozen cookies. |
