1/2 c. light corn syrup 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed 1/8 tsp. peanut butter 3 c. any cereal 1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1 tsp. vanilla Butter square pan, 9 x 9 x 2 inches. In large saucepan, heat corn syrup, sugar and salt to boiling. Stir in peanut butter; remove from heat. Stir in cereal, chocolate pieces and vanilla until well coated. Turn into pan; pat mixture evenly with buttered back of spoon or hands. Refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour. Cut into bars, about 2 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches. Makes 2 dozen. |
