MARTHA WASHINGTON CANDY | |
PART ONE: 2 boxes powdered sugar 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2 sm. cans coconut 1 stick butter 1 qt. chopped pecans PART TWO: 1/4 block paraffin 2 blocks German chocolate or 12 oz. chocolate chips PART ONE: Mix part one ingredients in large bowl. This can be difficult so mix with hands. Roll into small balls about 1/2 inch round. Refrigerate until firm. (Candy is very rich). PART TWO: Melt and mix part 2 ingredients in a double boiler. Using toothpicks dip individual balls into chocolate and place on wax paper to harden. Remove toothpick. Use spoon to cover holes left by toothpicks with chocolate. This is a good rainy day project to share with family or friends. Makes enough to share. |
