EASY CARAMEL FROSTING 
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
Pinch of salt
5 tbsp. milk or cream
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar

In saucepan, mix brown sugar, salt, cream and butter. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Cool and stir in vanilla. Add confectioners' (powdered) sugar, a little at a time. Beat until smooth and creamy. If mixture seems too firm, add additional cream.
