BEEF BURGUNDY 
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. bacon dripping
3 lbs. sirloin bite pieces
1 lb. fresh mushrooms
1 (1 lb.) jar onions
2 c. burgundy
2 tbsp. flour
1 can beef bouillon
1/2 tsp. thyme & marjoram
2 bay leaves
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. parsley

Saute onions, mushrooms and brown meat in butter and bacon. Remove. Add 1 tablespoon drippings, 2 tablespoons flour and cook 2 minutes to make gravy. Add beef bouillon, slowly stirring. Add burgundy, bring to boil and boil 1 minute. Add seasonings, meat, onions and mushrooms. Cook 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 275 degrees for 4 hours. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 8.
