BANANA NUT SOUR CREAM CAKE 
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. sour cream
1 c. mashed bananas (about 4)
1 1/2 c. pastry flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pecans, chopped fine

Dissolve soda and sour cream together. Beat all ingredients well and bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes. I use 2 layer pans but can be baked in 7 1/2 x 11 1/4 x 1 1/2 oblong pan.

ICING:

2 c. sugar
1 c. cream
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook sugar and milk until thick. Add butter and vanilla. Beat until thick enough to spread. I place pecan halves all over both layers after adding the icing.
