TEA CAKE COOKIES 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. self-rising flour
1 egg, beaten well
1 c. pecans

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter. Add sugar, beaten egg and vanilla. Add flour, 1/4 cup at a time. Mix until you have a stiff dough. Add pecans and roll into balls. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes.
