CHICKEN TOSTADOS 
2 med. onions, chopped
2 tbsp. oil
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
4 c. chopped cooked chicken
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Shredded lettuce
1 1/2 c. grated cheese
12 or more corn tortillas

Saute onion in oil. Add tomatoes, sauce, garlic, chicken, salt, pepper and chili powder. Simmer, uncovered for 15 minutes. To serve, fry each tortilla in at least 1" of oil until crisp. Drain. Top with filling, cheese and lettuce. Serve hot.
