DI'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
4 sticks butter
1 c. granulated sugar
2 c. light brown sugar
3 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla flavoring
5 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/1 2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
12 oz. Nestles chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix thoroughly eggs, sugars, butter and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix together. Dough may become too stiff for mixer. Then stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or till lightly browned. Let cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. These cookies will remain soft and chewy if you do not overbake.
