MOM'S CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling water

Combine dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients except water. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Add boiling water. Stir with wooden spoon. Batter will be thin. Pour into greased bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Allow cake to cool before removing from pan.

ICING:

1 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 stick butter
2 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Cook on medium heat the milk, flour and salt until thick. Cool. Cream sugar, Crisco and butter; beat on high speed until fluffy. Add cooled mixture, then vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Spread on cooled cake. Refrigerate cake.
