BLACKBERRY CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 eggs
2-1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. blackberries

Icing:

1 c. sugar
1 c. berry juice
1 egg white

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Mix dry ingredients together alternately, mixing with buttermilk. Fold in blackberries.

Bake at 350°FF. oven 1 hour. Use tube pan.

ICING: Bring the sugar and juice to a boil, boil until (syrup stage). Pour into beaten egg white and beat until fluffy. Spread on cake.
