SOUR DOUGH STARTER 
1 c. very warm water
2 pkg. dry yeast
4 c. lukewarm water
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
4 c. flour

Measure 1 cup of very warm, not hot, water. Sprinkle yeast over it and allow to dissolve. Stir and add 4 cups of lukewarm water, sugar, salt, and flour; mix well. Cover and let stand 3 days, stirring daily. When you take out starter to make bread, add 1 cup of lukewarm water, 1/2 cup flour and 1 teaspoon sugar to replenish supply.
