18 oz. devils food chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
4 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 c. chocolate chips or 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together cake mix, eggs, water and melted shortening. Add nuts or chocolate chips as desired. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes. Yields about four dozen cookies.
