CONCH CHOWDER 
2 lg. conchs
1 lb. potatoes
1/4 lb. salt pork
2 onions, med.
1 bell pepper
1 sm. can tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato paste
1 c. hot water
1 bay leaf
2 garlic buds
1 tbsp. barbeque sauce
1/2 tbsp. poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. black pepper
3/4 tsp. salt

Saute onion, bell pepper and salt pork, all chopped fine, until well cooked. Add all other ingredients except conch and potatoes. Pound conchs to break up tissue and chop into small pieces. Add to pot which should now be boiling. Cook for 1 hour and a half. Add potatoes and cook until done.
