FUNNEL CAKES 
1 1/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 tbsp. baking powder

Sift all of the above ingredients together in a separate bowl.

1 egg, beaten
2/3 c. milk (or more, if too thick)

Mix egg and milk together. Add dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Hold finger over bottom of funnel as you pour in some batter. Remove finger and let batter drop in a spiral motion into a pan with about 1 inch of hot oil. Fry until golden brown, turning once. Remove from pan and drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with brown sugar or powdered sugar. Serve hot!
