PAULA'S BUNS 
3 pkgs. dry yeast
2 c. milk
2 c. hot water
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted Crisco
3 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
Flour (about 12 c.)

Mix together dry yeast, milk and hot water. Take out 1/2 cup of lukewarm mixture and add yeast and part of the sugar to dissolve. To the milk mixture add the rest of the sugar, salt, Crisco and egg, then add dissolved yeast and stir well. Gradually add sifted flour until soft dough. Knead dough until shiny. Let rise 1 hour or until double. Work down and rise again. Make into desired shapes. Let raise about 1 hour and bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
