1 pkg. yellow cake mix (do not mix)
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in syrup or juice, undrained
1 (20 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 c. butter, cut in thin slices

Dump pineapple into 9x13 inch pan. Spread evenly. Dump in pie filling and spread in an even layer. Dump dry cake mix over top evenly. Spread pecans and butter over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 48 to 53 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
