PIZZA BY-THE-YARD 
1 unsliced loaf French bread
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
1/4 c. chopped, pitted ripe olives (optional)
1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
3/4 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 green pepper, cut in rings
4 oz. sharp process American cheese, shredded (1 c.)

Cut loaf in half lengthwise.

Combine tomato paste, Parmesan cheese, onion, olives, oregano, salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Add meat. Mix well.

Spread on top of loaf halves. Place on baking sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven. Top with tomato slices and green pepper rings. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Bake 5 minutes. Serves 4-5 people.
