SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 c. pecan halves

NOTE: 4 eggs make a firmer pie.

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add dark corn syrup and salt; beat well. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Stir in pecans. Pour into unbaked 9" pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Cool.
