CATHERINE MCMANUS' IRISH BREAD 
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 pkg. raisins
2 tbsp. caraway seeds
2 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add Crisco and chop until it is the size of peas. Add raisins and caraway seeds.

Mix eggs, milk and vanilla and add mixture to dry mixture.

Grease and flour a bundt pan (or cupcake tin). Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, then lower to 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

For cupcakes, bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes, then lower to 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
