FINNISH BISCUIT | |
1 pt. milk 1/4 lb. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. ground cardamon About 6 c. flour 1 pkg. dry yeast 1/4 c. warm water 3 eggs 1 c. sugar Dissolve yeast in warm water. Scald milk; pour over sugar, salt and butter. Cool; add to yeast and about 1/2 flour (enough to make soft dough). Knead until light or elastic. Place in greased bowl and let rise until doubled. Divide in half and each half in 3 parts. Roll strands and braid together. Place on greased pan. Set in warm place to rise. Bake 1/2 hour in 350 degree oven. Also makes cinnamon rolls. |
