CHERRY DIVINITY BARS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
2 env. Knox gelatin
1/2 c. water
2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, cut up
Coconut

Blend butter, brown sugar and flour with a fork until crumbly. Press into well buttered 10"x14" pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup water in a large bowl and let stand. Mix sugar and 1/2 cup water in saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Add hot sugar mixture slowly to gelatin mixture and beat, beat, beat for at least 10 minutes until stiff like divinity. Add extracts, nuts and cherries. Mix and pour over cooled crust. Sprinkle with coconut. Cut when firm.
