CRAWFORD FAMILY MINCE MEAT PIE 
3 qts. chopped or shredded tender beef
4 qts. chopped apples
1 1/2 lbs. raisins (dark)
1 lb. suet, grated
2 qts. cider vinegar
5 lbs. brown sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
Salt and pepper - dash each

Cook all ingredients until the flavors have blended well and apples are tender. Stir frequently and don't let it scorch or burn. Pack into sterilized hot quarts jars and seal. One quart makes a very nice sized mince pie.
