GRANDMA ALVA'S SOUR MILK CAKE
1 c. sugar 1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. sour milk or cream 2 squares chocolate 2 tbsp. butter Melt chocolate and butter together. Let cool. Mix all ingredients. Pour into square pan. Bake about 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

This is a great recipe. I have substituted white chocolate and added lemon peel and flavoring and baked in a springform pan for a torte base for summer desserts.
