HOT MULLED CIDER 
4 qts. apple cider
1 c. brown sugar
9 whole cloves
9 whole allspice
4 cinnamon sticks, broken into 1 inch pieces
2 lemons, sliced thin

Tie cloves, allspice, and cinnamon sticks in a cheesecloth. Place in a large kettle or slow cooker with cider and sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes in large kettle or can be kept hot for hours in a slow cooker. (Great for holiday parties.) Just before serving, remove spice bag and discard. Serve with thin slices of lemon on top of each cupful.
