HOT MULLED CIDER 
1 gallon cider
1/2 c. light brown sugar (optional)
8 to 10 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces
10 to 15 whole allspice
20 to 25 whole cloves

Bring all ingredients to boil. Then simmer uncovered 30 minutes. Strain through double layer of cheese cloth. Cider can be refrigerated until needed.
