SAUSAGE - RICE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. sausage 1 sm. onion, diced 1 tbsp. bell pepper, diced 3 stems celery, diced 1/4 c. grated carrots 3 c. boiling water 1 pkg. dehydrated chicken noodle soup 1/2 c. rice 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms Brown and drain sausage. Add next 4 ingredients to sausage. Cook chicken noodle soup and rice in boiling water 15 minutes. Combine soup-rice mixture with sausage. Add mushrooms. Bake in 13 x 9 inch pan for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. You can substitute hamburger or ground turkey for sausage. Serves 6. |
