SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. plain flour
1 c. sour cream
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, creaming after each. Mix soda and sour cream. Add salt to flour. Add flour and sour cream alternately to butter-egg mixture, beating very well. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan or a 16 inch long pound cake pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. This cake freezes well.
