Sweet Ice Tea

 Debra Poole (Ohio) says:
I've been making my mother's Sweet Tea for decades and it always has rave reviews. 1 quart of water and 1 1/2 cup sugar to a rolling boil. Then add 5 regular Lipton Orange Pekoe/Black tea bags. Let steep for 45 min. (no longer). Take out tea bags (do not squeeze) and let cool to room temperature. This one quart of tea concentrate will make ONE GALLON of the best Sweet Tea ever! Pour cooled concentrate into gallon containter and add water! Or store concentrate in frig. I always have 3 or 4 quarts of concentrate stored in frig for handy use!
