GRANNY'S BROWNIE CAKE 
3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
4 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour

Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler. Add nuts and mix well. Beat together eggs, sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour and add chocolate and nuts. Mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes in a 9x13 cake pan. Cool before frosting. Place on platter.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk

Mix all ingredients and cook on slow boil for 1 minute. Whip until spreading consistency. Keep a little thin so it will pour over sides.
