OATMEAL CARMELITAS 
1 c. flour
1 c. quick rolled oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. melted butter

Combine all ingredients for crust. Blend well. Press half the mixture into bottom of a 9 inch square pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.

FILLING:

1 c. (6 oz.) milk chocolate bits
1/2 c. pecans chopped
3 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping

Sprinkle baked crust with chocolate pieces. Blend caramel with flour. Spread over chocolate bits and pecans. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 or 20 minutes.
