MICROWAVE CARAMEL POPCORN 
16 c. or 3 pkgs. microwave popcorn, popped
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. Karo syrup

Pour popped corn in brown grocery bag. Mix remaining ingredients in 2 quart bowl. Microwave on high for 5 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes and each minute there after. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda; stir well (it gets foamy). Pour over popcorn and stir. Microwave in bag for 3 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, 1 minute, 30 seconds, 30 seconds. Tear bag open and spread to cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
