RITZ CRACKER COOKIES 
1 lg. box Ritz crackers
1 c. chopped dates
1 can Borden's sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
4 tbsp. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. powdered sugar, sifted

Combine condensed milk with chopped dates; cook slowly until mixture thickens to spreading consistency, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add chopped nuts. Spread on crackers. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes. Cool completely!!

Whip cream cheese and butter; add 2 cups powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Spread on cooled crackers; let set.

Cookies can be kept in the freezer between layers of waxed paper in an air-tight container. Yield: About 75 cookies.
