PEACH KUCHEN 
2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
12 canned peach halves
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 egg yolks
1 c. canned milk, undiluted

Set oven to 400 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and 2 tablespoons sugar together. Cut in butter with 2 knives or pastry blender until mixture looks like course cornmeal. Pat on even layer of this pastry over bottom and halfway up sides of baking dish. Press firmly until it holds. Drain peaches and arrange them over pastry. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and cinnamon. Bake 15 minutes, then pour a mixture of beaten egg yolks and undiluted milk over the top. Bake 30 minutes longer. Best served warm.
