BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
Base Mixture:

3 lb. ribs, cut into serving pieces
sprinkle of salt
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, chopped

Place spareribs, meat side up in a 9x13-inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle with salt. Top with lemon slices and chopped onion.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Sauce Mixture:

1/4 c. molasses (unsulphured)
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. celery seed
1/4 c. vinegar
1 c. ketchup
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
2 c. water

Combine molasses with chili powder and celery seed. Stir in vinegar, ketchup, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce and water.

Bake 1 hour longer, basting with sauce mixture 3 to 4 times.
