CHICKEN ADOBO 
1 whole chicken, cut in pieces
5 bay leaves
4 (1 inch) round cut 1/4 inch slice of fresh ginger
1 med. onion, diced
1/4 clove of garlic
Season with salt & pepper to taste after soy sauce
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. water
Pinch of accent

Put cut up chicken in pan with all ingredients and bring to boil, then reduce to simmer. Cover and cook for 1 hour. Remove chicken pieces and thicken gravy. Serve on a bed of steamed rice.
