STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 qt. fresh berries
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 baked pastry shell
1 (3 oz) package strawberry flavored gelatin

In saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Mash 1 cup berries; add water to make 2 cups and stir into sugar mixture. Cook, stir and boil for 2 minutes. Remove heat. Add butter, gelatin and lemon juice. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Chill until partially set. Pour 1/3 mixture in pie shell. Add whole berries and cover with remaining mixture. Chill and serve with whipped cream.

Pie can also be made with graham cracker crust instead of pastry shell.
