FAVORITE "KETSUP" 
1 peck ripe tomatoes
1 lg. or 2 sm. green bell peppers
1 lg. onion

Cook the above ingredients together until very soft. Cool and rub through a sieve. Return the tomatoe sauce to the heat.

ADD:

1 1/2 c. strong vinegar
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. mixed pickling spices (tied in muslin cloth)

Bring to boil slowly to avoid scorching. Boil for about 1 1/2 hours, until the ketsup is thick and tastes real good.
