FLAKY PASTRY (PIE CRUST) 
4 1/2 c. flour
2 c. Crisco
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 egg
1/2 c. cold (ice) water

Mix first 4 ingredients. In small bowl beat egg and vinegar. Add water. Then blend with flour mixture. Roll out for pie.
