MOM'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
3 lb. ground beef
3 large onions, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
4 qt. canned tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1 small can tomato sauce
1 tsp. crushed oregano
1 tsp. crushed red pepper

Sauté the onions and green pepper in a large frying pan. Add ground beef and brown; drain fat.

In a large stew pot, mix tomatoes, paste, sauce, oregano and red pepper. Add meat mixture to tomato mixture and bring to a boil, then simmer 5 to 6 hours, covered. Remove cover for 1 hour after it has simmered for a couple of hours, then replace cover. Ladle over cooked spaghetti. Do not mix spaghetti in the sauce to store in refrigerator as it will change the flavor of the sauce.
