STRAWBERRY PIE GLAZE 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. water
3 oz. pkg. strawberry Jello

Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and water and cook until clear. Add Jello (dry); stir to dissolve. Cool and pour over berries in baked shell. Garnish with Cool Whip.

(Evelyn puts a thin layer of glaze on crust, adds halved berries, and then pours on rest of glaze so crust doesn't get soggy.)
