1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pinch salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together first 4 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients in order given; mix well. Bake in greased loaf pan until brown and doesn't stick to toothpick. Will be cracked on top.
