NAVAHO TACOS
Shredded or grated cheese (Monterey Jack, Cheddar, etc.)
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
Lettuce, shredded
Tomato, cut
Sour cream
Salsa
Dry taco mix or alternative seasoning

INDIAN BREAD:

2 c. self-rising flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Vegetable oil
Warm water

Prepare fillings for taco. Cook ground beef and season with taco mix or garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chili powder. Grate cheese; shred or chop lettuce and tomato. You may wish to heat salsa.

To prepare Indian Bread, sift flour and baking powder together. Make a well in mixture. Add warm water until dough has a biscuit like consistency. Knead about 5 minutes. Let dough set about 5 minutes. In a frying pan, heat oil (enough to cover bottom of pan) until it sizzles. Pinch off a small portion (biscuit size) of dough and roll out thin as taco shell. Lightly brown in hot oil. Fill with filling and fold.
